Food is incredible, like 5 stars kind of good. However, the wait for lunch service can take 60 - 90 minutes. As a business lunch goer in Jersey City I have 30 minutes to max 60 minutes to eat lunch. PLT - Pernil Pork, Lettuce & Tomato should not take 1 hour 30 minutes to experience. I really hope this location improves on speed. I would visit 1x per week if they could get faster.

Excellent restaurant, fine meals, decent prices. Sadly, they will be closing on June 28.

Great food, service and the price is just right. The sopa con camarones was fantastic. Thier organic wines are complex and good ;) Cap the dinner with expresso to end the great food experience. This place is highly recommended.

La Conguita had been a favorite of mine for some time, since they originally opened. However, with the last visit I noticed that the quality of the food went downhill. I had the Pernil that comes with yellow rice, fried plantains and beans. To my dismay, I found that the roast pork was not very tender all throughout. I had to sort through the plate to find the good pieces that were to my liking. Also, the yellow rice was filled with more beans and I wasn't even made aware of this from the person that took my order. The fried plantains were actually hard and most likely due to the fact they were left out a long time from the fryer. Service here is generally slow, as they're not looking to boot you out while you are still eating. If you are trying to get out of here quickly, the slowness in service will be even more apparent.

My boyfriend and I have become regulars over the past few years. They know us well and always treat us really well. They food is always great and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend the sea bass or braised chicken. My boyfriend always gets the pernil or the Cuban sandwich. Great atmosphere and staff.

Please this place is a joke they advertise free delivery but when i call several different times during the week I'm being told that they don't deliver, mind you I live about 8 blocks from them. Then stop advertising that you deliver or make up your mind if you do or don't... Plus the food isn't all the great, in the last few years the quality has really gone down and the service isnt the same as before, your better going some where else like Hard Grove, or The Azucar...Anything is better then this....

I really like the food here, and they offer an interesting level of variety in terms of latin and European foods. However, my latest visit left me a bit unsatisfied. The waiter couldn't accept that we'd both be drinking waters and with enough passive pressure, got me to order a beer (weak i know). We ordered the 3 course specials, and the appetizers arrived within a decent amount of time. However, 30 minutes after we've finished the appetizers and had the plates taken away, they still hadn't served our entrees. We finally had had enough and I stood up and asked the guy to give us the rest of our meal to go, along with the bill. After another 15-20 minutes, we received the bill. I then asked for one of the meals to be split off so that I could pay 2 separate bills (anyone who submits expenses would understand) and was told that they could not because "they would have to explain why they voided a check". The check hadn't been paid for and I would paying the new checks immediately, so why is this an issue? I just got frustrated and said fine and paid the bill, still including a tip (I can;t help it). However, I won't be going back here. The food is pretty good though, but probably overpriced.
