Love the bit about SEO being an opportunity to talk to people about what they/we should be focusing on. A broader approach to web presence management with SEO as just a part of the big picture is what I have been preaching for a few years, and my clients rarely get "just" SEO - even when they came to me looking for better rankings, links, or some other small component.
Very happy to see high profile people like +Rand Fishkin & +Dan Petrovic being more out front about this. With this message being as easy to find as the old "#1 overnight" message, the industry, the clients' bottom line, and the web in general can keep moving forward and improve.May 3, 2013
