How-to Questions  -

How would you go about addressing a specific image for thumbnail display when posting on Facebook (and Google+ for that matter)?

I'm trying to get the photo of for example:
http://amsterdamstreets.com/blog/driessen-nieuwendijk-1
but Facebook/G+ only show the logo as a thumbnail

I've tried this in the <head> of my default.html:
<meta property="og:image" content="http://amsterdamstreets.com/assets/img/photos/{{ img }}" />

But without any luck. Anyone have suggestions?

ok, so after some further research I found that the og:url forces facebook to 'scrape' that url. It's probably bad practice, but after I got rid of the og:url everything worked fine.

How-to Questions  -

How can I get the blog posts (taxonomy list) of a specific "author” and  "location”?

I’m new to Statamic and it is also the first time ever I’m connecting a CMS to html, so bear with me please.

I’m making a blog for a group of photographers, through which they can upload photo’s by member and also locate those photo's on a map using the „location” add-on. So far so good. Works great. This is the dev site http://www.amsterdamstreets.nielsluigjes.nl of what I’m working on.

What I can’t seem to get my head around is on how I would get to show all the photo’s of a certain member, or likewise how to show all the photos of a certain location. So basically what the category tags do, but for members and location.

I've looked at taxonomy and entries but I can't seem to figure it out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here’s what the html looks like now:

<a href="{{ url }}">
  <span class="location">
    {{ where:name }}
  </span>
</a><br/>

<span class="author">
  by <a href="{{ url }}">
    {{ member:profile member="{ author }" }}
      {{ first_name }} {{ last_name }}
    {{ /member:profile }}
  </a>
</span>

and within the settings.yaml I've done this:

_taxonomy:
  - categories
  - tags
  - author
  - where

Thanks for your detailed explanation Gareth

Haven't got it to work yet, but I'll keep on trying :)
I also still have to get the location tag to show a taxonomy-list.

Looking forward to 1.7!
