Stayed here 2 times during the WMC that takes place yearly. The place was kept clean and the staff was courteous. The hotel is located close to Big Pink a place to grab food at all ours. They have Teds bar which is a local hangout and of course the beach is across the street. This area of south beach is where you will find lots of the locals. Plus the clubs start in this area.

Positive: the hotel is located in a good area(no noise) and is clean, cute décor. Negative: Staff could care less about you as a guest. The food at the restaurant is disgusting. Someone entered my room TWICE, without notice or knocking on the door. Just straight into the room at about 7 pm in the evening. (two evenings in a row). When I picked up my car from valet, my key chain was destroyed, taped together and given back to me without anyone saying a thing about it. A very expensive keychain- Clearly they tried to fix the issue by taping it. I called the hotel to inform of both problems I experienced. It is near impossible to get ahold of anyone at the hotel/front desk. When you do, they take a message for the manager (Cree) to call you back. After persistent attempts to resolve this matter, nothing is done- not even a phone call. The manager, Cree called back once ( after I left over 5 messages) to say that she is looking into this issue. 2 weeks later, nothing has been resolved. The courtesy of a phone call does not exist at this hotel. I have called back repeatedly, and no answer. So think twice about staying at this hotel for reasons I have listed.

This is an art deco hotel at it's loveliest, although they have cheated a little to get the extension to the hotel looking the same. We had a lovely room with partial sea view at a good price and a nice continental breakfast. There was excellent service at front desk and also having cocktails on the front walk. The only, but significant problem was I found my PDA had been stolen from my bag when I got back home. I'm sure I should have put it in the safe with our other valuables, but it got overlooked and so I'm very unhappy a member of staff with access to the bedrooms of such an upmarket hotel would search through belongings to steal.

We stayed there for three nights mid April 2014 and enjoyed our experience completely. When we arrived our room was not ready but we were early so we enjoyed lunch and then cocktails by the lovely pool. They could not have been more courteous and concerned with making certain our stay was completely satisfying. Although the rooms are not large, they are very clean and updated. They did many little unexpected things that made them stand out from many other hotels we have stayed in. Be sure to get a tour of the Versace Mansion while you are there. I would stay here again without a though. The location is perfect as well.

Very disappointing. We reserved a bungalow king deluxe room a couple of months in advance of our trip. When we made the reservation, the person with whom we spoke informed us that the hotel was undergoing some renovations, which would be completed before our arrival. Instead, at check-in, we were told that the room we had reserved was unavailable because the pool was still undergoing repairs. The hotel staff, without informing us prior to our stay, had moved us to a different room a floor above the pool, stating that it was the same room category, and that while we would not have direct access to the pool as we would have had with our bungalow room, the trade off was a balcony with the same view of the ocean. However, once we got to our room, we discovered that the pool was, in fact, covered by a large white tent, which completely obscured whatever ocean view the higher floor was supposed to afford. The hotel most likely would normally be fine, and the staff were pleasant enough. But we were displeased enough to cancel our reservation and go to a different South Beach hotel.

Horrible. Room wasn't made from before and when we went to eat the service was terrible. I understand this is south beach and they have a lot to deal with but I'm saying it was 20 minutes until someone came to even speak to us.
