Are you interested in coordinating an Innovative Panel at the 2016 ISA Annual Convention in Atlanta? If so, make sure to submit your proposal before the May 15th deadline! Innovative panels provide scholars with the ability to move beyond the traditional panel format. In the past, these have involved simulations, "town-hall" style events, online virtual panels, and many other forms of interaction.

Proposals for the Research Workshop grant program are due July 31, 2015. ISA has two Research & Workshop Grant programs: Venture Research Grants, which support pioneering research, are worth up to $25,000; and Catalytic Research Grants, which support innovative approaches to established research topics, are worth up to $10,000.

ISA's FPA Section welcomes nominations for the Alexander George Award for the best graduate student paper at ISA in Foreign Policy Analysis (i.e., on a panel sponsored by the FPA section) by September 1. Each nomination should include a letter from the professor who supervised the writing of the paper. Please send your nominations to the chair of the Alexander George subcommittee, Sibel Oktay (sibelo@uis.edu).

Thinking of submitting a proposal for the 2016 ISA Annual Convention in Atlanta? You now have one month to go! The proposal submission deadline is June 1st. The Convention will be held March 16-19 at the Hilton Atlanta. We invite paper, panel and roundtable proposals related to all areas of international studies and world politics. Particularly welcome are proposals related to our 2016 convention theme: Exploring Peace. Submit your proposal today!

One day reminder: the participant registration deadline for the 2015 Annual Convention is tomorrow, Thursday, October 16th. Anyone accepted on to the program and participating as a panel chair, discussant, paper presenter, or roundtable participant must register to secure their place on the program.

Introduction
The International Studies Association (ISA) was founded in 1959 to promote research and education in the field of international studies. With well over five thousand members in North America and around the world, ISA is the most well respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. ISA cooperates with 57 international studies organizations in over 30 countries, is a member of the International Social Science Council, and enjoys nongovernmental consultative status with the United Nations.
