it has gone down hill since they opened what happened the french toast was sooooo good last two times I've gotten it wasn't so pleasing this time was burnt dry toast. I wont be getting any more food from you guys i like the wait staff, but at this point its over priced and over rated me and my shop friends will more than likely go to bobs and the waitress asked me if i wanted utensils i had french toast and the boss had eggs and hash browns. I mean come on we don't eat with our hands burnt three times i think ill move them off the list

First time service was excellent, soup superb. This time food was not good and the service was horrible. Our waitress seemed bothered to have us there, was very slow to take our order and bring our food and never came back to our table....no refills, no dessert offer, and had to flag someone down for our check. Will not return. :0(

The worst I have ever seen in my Memphis trip

The food was excellent and the first time I came in the service was excellent. Sadly the two times following that the service was quite poor. The last time my boyfriend and I left because our order had not been taken and we sat there for 25 minutes waiting for someone to come to the table. They were very apologetic about the situation and even comped our drinks. I am willing to give them another chance due to the excellent service and food we got the first time.

Its over. We have all seen it before. It starts out great. Everyone is happy. Food is good. Its the honeymoon. Then it starts being an everyday kinda relationship. No more passion. No more we will serve you your chicken salad plate at 10:50... lunch is not until 11,,, "can't you understand"...But its ok...I do understand. You spoiled me. Now your plating is meh... but I can live with it. But then it turns south. Dead cold silence. In this case cold stone soup silence. So bad. And here is the proof: I ordered the South of Young. An omelet with jalapeno peppers. When it arrived it was FILLED with peppers. PICKLED... from a can. Sigh. What on earth. pre-chopped pickles from a can. They were tasteless except for the vinegar. So when asked I explained to the waitress. Who was sweet and attentive.... of course we were one of four people there... that the omelet was nothing but bland pickled jalapenos. She asked the cook (I refuse to use the word chef here) who sent her back with this message "I had too many complaints about the level of the heat". Seriously? Lets see. You could core them and seed them and saute them off...OR you could dump in a can of pickled peppers which will bleed water into the egg and make the entire omelet taste water logged and of vinegar. You chose to dump an entire can of pickled peppers better served on top of nachos at a baseball game. Its sheer laziness. Nothing more. Nothing less. No offer to come out and explain. No offer of recompense or apology. Sadly you can get better at IHOP. And that is how bad it is. Cutting corners is one thing. Meh plating is another. But a back of house too lazy to give a darn about their craft... unforgivable. So Stone soup it is over. I went from a glowing review, to a meh review, to a OH LORD NO review. Its sad... and I have a feeling that we will be seeing the last of you in midtown pretty soon.

The service was a little slow at first but it was Easter. Our server was so nice and informative. I sampled the Texas toast like sourdough bread (I think it was sourdough) and the biscuits. Definitely liked the toast over biscuits.....biscuits have firm texture. Quiche with sausage and onions from the daily special menu was a great choice for brunch. My grits had great taste and texture. Those hubcap size pancake were incredible. I regret waiting so long to visit this restaurant. It is a GREAT addition to the Cooper-Young family of restaurants. Please support this restaurant. My family and I will eat here for a long time.
