Well. It is a basic motel. And it is cheap and you get what you pay for. But it was clean and had all the necessities. neighborhood is good too and location is great. So no complaints.

A little tired looking, and was woken up every day by the gun salute from Fort Myer across the road. Was perfectly located to access the city via the Fort/Cemetery and Memorial Drive which brings you out at the Washington Monument. All in all I would describe the place as functional but not as impressive. I would stay here if I was traveling alone.

I've stayed at other Days Inn (granted for half the price of this one), and this is the only hotel I've had to leave and find another. There is no elevator to get access to the second floor, which wasn't that big of a deal but still surprising. The worst part is that it appeared that none of the AC units worked in a majority of the complex. We tried three different rooms, one the unit wouldn't power on to even move air, the other two the air that was moved wasn't cooled at all. While it was 70 degrees outside the rooms were 80-85 degrees which was the deal breaker as my wife and I had our infant son with us. Luckily the night clerk cancelled our check-in so that we could go elsewhere. While I may still consider the Days Inn brand, I'll never stay at this particular location ever.

Overall, it was a good experience. I liked the breakfast, not a lot of variety but it had everything I needed to start my day. And considering how low their prices are I would come back next time i'm in town. Negatives: the internet signal is quite weak and you might find yourself walking around the room trying to find a decent signal. And the guy behind the counter wasn't very friendly, he seemed annoyed all the time.

A good value. This motel is old but it reasonably well maintained. There is probably an inch of paint on the place but it's clean and everything worked. It's not the Ritz but you aren't going to find that for $80 a night this close to DC and you know it. (going against traffic) I left the Days Inn, found parking and was standing in front of the White house in under 30 minutes. You can do that for under $200 a night in town.
