I've been there for lunch 3 times in the last 2 months and it got worse every time I went. The first visit I would have rated 'Good' and the next time was just fair and the last time was just horrendous. My coworker and I went together each time. We love their tomato bisque, so we get it every time. The last time it was far chunkier than usual - obviously was at the bottom or the barrel or too dehydrated. Our sandwiches were dry. The calamari on the calamari salad tasted old and far too chewy. The salad was drenched in dressing and over-took any taste of the other toppings. They were out of crab cakes every time (and there was at least a week or two between every visit). The meatballs on the pasta is dry, and the pasta is so heavy it's about 4 meal's worth. My coworker ordered the sausage pasta another time, but got the dry meatballs again. The service was awful! We waited 15 minutes (for two people) to be seated and a guy walked behind the bar and complete ignored the fact that there was a group of about 20 people waiting at the door. When we were finally seated, we had to scavenger for our own menus, probably should have done the same for our drinks and food too because it took 30+ minutes to get a glass of water [didn't bother even trying to get a refill]. Needless to say, they have lost our business.

Went for lunch. The brewery was closed, so it was not crowded. We were seated immediately. The waiter was attentive but not overly so. The staff was very professional. The place itself is modern, clean and stylish. Tthe food was great. It was served quickly and hot. The flavors were excellent. You could taste them, but none were overpowering. I had a Soulard Cubano, my friend had a blackened chicken breast. Both were fantastic. Highly recommend. The price was a little on the steep side, but a buck or two more than normal for better service, food and atmosphere than you can get else where in Soulard is fine by me.

We were at Sage last Saturday and everyone in our party loved it! The patio has a great atmosphere and the food and service where both exceptional as well. This was only the 2nd time we have been to Sage (The 1st experience was during an awesome rehearsal dinner upstairs) and we will all definitely be back!

The food is good a little pricey but I guess you are paying for the atmosphere. The only thing that really turns me off this place is that the service is slow even when they are not busy. Other than that it is a nice place to go but not for lunch when you are very often on a time limit. Dinner is ok though if you don't mind waiting around.

I truly enjoy a restaurant where the staff enjoys working there, eating there, and takes the time to share their thoughts on the food. I have never had a bad experience at Sage. The last time my lady and I dined there the chef came out and said he didn't want to serve me the last piece of fish they had, but said the alternate special would be incredible and it was ! Where else do you get that kind of service and interest in your dining pleasure ? The wines compliment the varying menu and the overall value is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Food is good but service is awful. Waited 20+ min for the server to notice my glass was empty and waited another 20+ after plates were cleared for her to even bring the check. The food is not good enough to bother coming back. Additionally they appear to have some sort of sewer problem since when the heat kicked on there was an overwhelming stench of rotten eggs.

Hosted a bridal shower for my niece and did a lot of planning from K.C. Ceil was very accomodating and servers Hans and Danielle were fabulous. The owner (I think) greeted us on arrival and we had the entire upper deck. Food was great, deck was gorgeous, servers-wonderful. Really reasonable-highly recommend this beatiful spot. Would also be a great location for a rehearsal dinner. I'm going back for lunch and dinner next time I'm in St. Louis; I know my sisters and niece will return soon also!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! waited 20 mins to get the waiter to come take our drink order, then never got a water refill and by the 2nd time I needed one, i said screw it and just drank my husband's water. Took 40 mins between our salads and our main entree. So long in fact that our own waiter asked us if we wanted dessert and I had to inform him that we hadn't received our dinner yet. He went back and checked (I guess). Never got an update. Had to ask again where it was. My food was dry and not good. My husbands was cold and also dry. I cannot believe we even wasted money on this meal and I feel really cheated. NEVER going back.
