A test run of the Marianne Dress
I have had this pattern in my stash for AGES...bought when Christine Haynes was having a sale. I snapped it up and it sat unused for about a year. I guess I was having my love affair with the Gaby Dress ( sewn in a knit ) so this got pushed to the back. Ini...

Wintry Mable Skirt
When I bought the fabric for my second Linden Sweaterdress  I received a bit of extra fabric for free happy dance as it was the end of the roll. There was just enough for a Mabel Skirt so that's what I made. Not much to report on this as I've made so ma...

Another Maria Denmark Kimono Tee
I really love the print on  this fabric  that I first saw at Fabric Muse a few months ago. After weeks of fabric stalking I finally purchased 90cms of it  and decided to make myself another Maria Denmark Kimono Tee. The fabric is $35/pm so it was hard to ju...

I've been trying VERY hard this winter to find some casual style tunics or dresses for weekend wear - no luck in the shops, and to date I've not had a lot of luck sewing dresses either, Gaby Dress aside. After I finished my last Linden Sweatshirt I started ...

Huzzah high fives self! My second foray into the land of the Linden Sweaterdress has been an unreserved success. If I sound pretty happy/smug it's becuase I am! Rarely does a sewing project turn out perfectly for me and this is one of the times where it's...

Two more Mandy Boat Tees
I had a VERY productive sewing weekend, turning out two (very wearable) Mandy Boat Tees . The fabric for both was initially bought to experiment with lengthening the Maria Denmark Kimono Tee into a dress - but then I got lazy and thought I'd go with the Chr...

Oslo Cardigan #2
I made this cardigan about a month or so ago but haven't written about it as I don't like it (it's already been donated to charity)...so much meh! I think the problem is down to bad fabric choice and making a size too big (again). The fabric is a Viscose/Po...

As soon as I finished my last, and successful, Linden Sweaterdress I raced into Tessuti to buy some more fabric for another. The fabric is the same as before, but in a different colourway . It really is beautiful. Source: Tessuti I really like how cosy the ...

The journey of a girl...her stomach and her sewing machine.
Introduction
My "adventures" run to admin assistant by day, struggling cook (and novice seamstress) by night. I need to eat out to ensure I don't starve. I love catching up with friends over something yummy. Cheap and cheerful are my favourite places to eat, but I don't mind fancy schmancy every now and then. Sometimes I try to cook, but it mostly never ends well (though I am getting better in the kitchen even if I do say so myself)! I'm a foodie blog addict...not that I read them at work of course.

Trying my hardest to be an ethical eater. Learning to sew, enjoy growing edibles on my small balcony and I foster kittens for Cat Protection Society.

Live in Sydney's wild wild west.
