Apparently I arrived when all but everything had run out except for spare ribs, Mac and cheese, and the greens. I was actually excited for the spare ribs. Unfortunately they were long past well-done. So I tried the greens.... Terrible. The Mac and cheese..... Four days past well-done.

There were a FEW MAJOR issues I had with this bbq restaurant. 1st this restaurant has no place to sit down and eat your food, 2nd the lady in the front who gave us our food was very unprofessional and rude (she questioned my whole family about an order that they got wrong), 3rd they ran out of everything except baked beans, collard greens and ribs (I would think if you want to keep your customers then you offer some type of discount b/c you ran out of food), 4th the side portions are way to small, not tasty and not worth the money lastly, 5th the ribs weren't even the best bbq I've had nor did they come close. True enough they fall off the bones, but the bbq sauce and flavor of the ribs just wasn't appealing!!! I definitely won't be coming back nor will I recommend anyone I know to this restaurant.

I'm not a big American BBQ fan, but many of my friends claim Bludso's has the most authentic BBQ around LA reminiscent of the south, and since I work super close by, it was almost a crime NOT to stop by and give it a try. And yes, it was well worth the visit and the long wait! There's parking in the front as well as street parking in the back. Spots are quite hard to find, especially on a busy weekday or weekend. So if you see a spot, take it and don't look back! With all the rave about Bludso's, I didn't see much when I walked in. The set-up is very similar to a bank. Lots of people waiting around for their orders. You walk up to the cashier - behind a screened glass, give your order and wait for them to give you your food. I believe they give you the food in the order they receive the orders, so if you're waiting behind several ginormous orders, you're gonna hafta wait for awhile. I only ordered the Tuesday special, which consisted of a 1/2 pound rib tri tip which came with a small side of your choice and two slices of white bread. You're also able to choose from a mild or hot sauce. Sadly, I didn't see the cornbread on the menu until after I ordered, and I didn't know if I would have to rewait in line, so I passed. And I didn't see any corn on the menu, either. I tried their famous potato salad and added another small side of baked beans. The order was quite small, but I think I ended up waiting over thirty minutes. Definitely recommend calling in and ordering before picking up the food (although another customer told me that even though he did that, he still had to wait awhile for his food!). I couldn't contain myself and ate a few bites in my car before heading home. Best decision ever (well, second to the decision to go to Bludso's, of course). The ribs were drenched in mild sauce, and were so tender that they pretty much melted in my mouth. Fall off the bone delicious. And so worth the price! It was only about $5.50 for the special, and about a dollar or two more for that extra side. I think I had about five or six ribs ... wow! My parents tried the ribs after I got home and they agreed - such a great and delicious deal! The potato salad was pretty good. Not too memorable, but it tasted good. The baked beans were a bit spicy, but had good flavor. I really liked the beans! I like how they give you a kit to eat the meal in a ziplocked bag - wet napkin, utensils, bread. I didn't eat the bread, but it was a nice addition! tl;dr - The weekday specials are well worth the price! The wait can get really long, so I would recommend going early or calling in and picking up the order. I really liked Bludso's and will definitely be back to try some other items (and the cornbread!), but I do think I like Phil's a bit more due to the sauce. Definitely give Bludso's a try if you're in the area or into American BBQ ... or just like to eat.

The food was excellent. We shared an order of Gnocchi Bolognese as an appetizer. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious.

Ordered a pork sandwich with Mac&cheese for the friday special with an order of baked beans. Well, i got back to the office to see that i got chopped pork sausage, 2 slices of bread, mac and cheese, and a container of bbq sauce. I wouldnt be complaining if they would've given me my beans because their "sandwich" was still good. And the mac and cheese, delicious. I would say they owe me $2, but they also ran out of change while i was there so they started telling people to pay with card or wait 20+ minutes while someone went to get change.

Went for my first time. The wait was a very long. Once I opened the carton my mouth started to water. The ribs were awesome, very tender and tasty. the brisket was also very good. the sauce was good and has a god kick to it. was shocked how much meat I hit for about $11. everyone was nice and polite. will definitely be going back, but will call my order in first.

This was my third time coming to this restaurant,so i figured to come here again but, to my surprise when i thought i was getting a good quality meal i received two hot links and four pieces of moled bread ,this was very very discussing i couldnt eat it. I will never NEVER come back to facility ever. For that price and amount i could've went to food 4 less, gotten a pack of hot links boiled them in the stove and i would've been more satisfied then this bull

As soon as you walk in to Bludso's you know its going to be good from the amazing smokey smell that engulfs you. The brisket is a must and also the hot links. Best authentic BBQ I have found in LA by far!
