New Orleans welcomes a new Whole Foods Market to the Broad Street Corridor, bringing 125 full time jobs, $14M in investment, and healthy food retail to the area. Conceptual renderings were released today for the new North Terminal at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. This $825M project will generate 13,000 jobs and billions in economic impact. The world-class 650,000-square-foot terminal complex will feature two concourses with 30 gates. A new analysis by Michael Mandel of the Progressive Policy Institute identifies 25 leading locations for high-tech information jobs. New Orleans ranks #13 of the 25 cities listed, posting a higher growth rate than NYC, Austin, and Boston. From 2007-2012, New Orleans technology and information jobs grew by 32.9%.
