Dinner last night: Almond breaded pork chop with a salad. The cut of meat was from a local farmer. Delicious! Breakfast: shredded coconut, 2 cups of berries, almond milk, and 2 eggs blended in a smoothie. I thought the eggs were going to be gross, but again: Delicious! I love eating Paleo.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your Hypothyroid article, a few of us are now all about going natural! Just changed doctors and went from synthetics to the desiccated... a couple of months now and like what it does! Some blood work will confirm!

http://www.progressivehealth.com/consider-taking-these-synthroid-alternatives.htm

Agree with medicating twice a day, recall reading before, though confused with your following statement in quotes of when to take in regards to timing associated with meals, because need for proper absorption is best found on an empty stomach to avoid thyroid medication blockers such as iron, calcium, cruciferous vegetables, coffee, etc... an extensive list.

"Therefore, the recommendation is to cut a 90 mg pill of Armour thyroid into two and take one half 20 minutes after breakfast and the other half after dinner."

Unless otherwise instructed, I plan to continue medicating with the desiccated on an empty stomach, morning and night, with regards of observing projected time lines needed to avoid particular blockers, some require a 5 hour before/after... with this in mind, I wait an hour after morning medication for coffee and appropriate breakfast!

Best regards!
Leonard

Went in there today for a transmission fluid flush and Frank got me in and out in under an hour. Very nice guy. I liked the fact that I could make an appointment so I didn't have to wait around for hours. Thanks!

Thanks Bart! My wife and I had our Will done with Bart. He explained all of the paperwork, how it would work in the event that something did happen to me and my wife, and helped answer all of our questions. Very good service.

My wife took our Dodge Caravan in to get the transmission checked today. Everything was fine and the guy at the service department was super nice. He explained how everything works, what to look for, and gave us some tips on how to get our extended warranty in our name. Thank you.

Had my timing belt changed. What a great and honest experience. Van is running great with no issues after he replaced the timing belt. I was in the waiting room and he came out and explained that one of my engine bolts broke off and explained why that can happen from time to time in some vehicles. He showed me what happened and showed me how he was fixing it. Really appreciate the explanation. Then he told me many other ways I could maintain my vehicle and how I could keep my van running for a long time. He even explained that if I shift down on the hill by my house instead of braking, I could save my brakes so I wouldn't have to redo the brakes and callipers so often. Just a great source of information and I can tell he is passionate about what he does. Will definitely be bringing my van back to him in the future.

My son and daughter have both attended KKP. I wasn't really aware of Parent participation preschools prior to KKP. After having one kid go through and now I currently have another in the school, I can see why it is so important. They always ask if we are coming to preschool with them. They love having us there. We have gotten to know the other parents really well. It is definitely more work than other preschools, but you get out what you put in (and so does your kid). There is tons of research showing the benefits of parents being involved in their kids school and it all starts here. In addition, Mrs Durkin has a great approach with the kids. She keeps them on track and disciplined even though it is an open format (they can choose the activities they want to work on). Mrs O is the new teacher this year and she is so good with the kids too. Highly recommended.

Bought a Morphibian for my son for Christmas. It broke after using it for one hour. He was really disappointed. We called the store and spoke to the manager and they replaced it for us. Great customer service.
