Pride Toronto's posts

Who wants tickets to see Big Freedia on January 29 at Lee's Palace?

Simply tell us your most fun and unique PG-13 Pride Toronto story below! The two participants whose stories receive the most +1s by the time the contest closes at the end of the day on January 21 will receive free tickets to the show!*

A few rules to make things fair:

All entries must begin with "MY PRIDE TORONTO STORY:" and be contained in one post. All other entries will be treated as comments and will be ineligible. Pride Toronto may delete such comments at its sole discretion.

This promotion is being run on Pride Toronto's Google+ and Facebook pages simultaneously (google.com/+PrideToronto and facebook.com/PrideToronto). You may post your stories once on each platform, but +1s on Google+ and "likes" on Facebook will not be added together or aggregated. Each participant may win only once, regardless of the platform. +1s for stories that Pride Toronto deems to be substantially the same as stories previously posted on the same platform by you or anyone else will not be counted, and such stories may be disqualified and removed at Pride Toronto's sole discretion without notice to you.

In other words, to be eligible, post only your own unique story and post it only once on each platform.

We can't wait to hear your stories!

*Limited to two tickets for entry to the event. No substitutions or cash replacement. Pride Toronto is not responsible for other costs associated with attendance at the event, including but not limited to transportation or food and drink.

The handover has been made! Toronto is the WorldPride city for the next two years!

Congratulations and thanks to Pride London for hosting this year's WorldPride. Fantastic performances in Trafalgar Square from Corey Hart and Deb Cox, and guest MC Mike Chalut! Join us on our journey to 2014!

+Torontoist takes a look at the Women's Arm Wrestling tournament that took place as part of Pride's AlternaQueer stage.

"If ever there was an appropriate time for an event that features female feats of strength, men and women in booty shorts, go-go dancers in drag, and a high-camp sensibility, Pride Week would be it."
