Ooh, spinning on ice always looks like such fun when other people do it. LOL For ice-phobes like me, this airy little shawl will give you hours of knitting fun with short row shaping, beads, and cables, as well as a lifetime of enjoyment cuddling into it. This airy yarn from Catherine Lowe is surprisingly warm. Photo by Crissy Jarvis.

Raspberries. They taste like summer’s hottest days. So what are they doing on a thick winter cowl? Will they make winter’s bitter cold end sooner? Spring’s flowers bloom sooner? Summer’s fruits ripen in February? Not likely. But cuddling up in this thornless berry patch before you brave winter’s elements might just bring a touch of summer’s warmth to your cold day. Doesn’t that sound nice? Wow. Between us, Lucy Neatby and I designed 80% of the top 10 best selling scarf patterns on Patternfish. Fun! http://www.patternfish.com/collections/11-best-selling-scarves

Knit? Great! Here's another venue for getting knitting patterns online, posting your own projects, browsing around. Don't knit? That's fine, too. Craftsy has patterns, projects, and classes for a whole collection of crafts... only some of which have anything to do with yarn. Of course, if you do knit, you can find some of my patterns there, too. http://www.craftsy.com/user/pattern/store/471974
