I was so bummed that AskNature didn't get an INDEX: Award this year. :(
I voted for them for the People's Choice Award.

Todd is great, seriously really good at what he does and how he does business. I'm going to include some details here, but basically I'll say if you're looking for a handyman who not only gets the job done but is also someone you can have a productive and even enjoyable conversation with, call Todd. He hit the requirements of punctual, knowledgeable, skilled, well organized. But mainly, and hugely important for me, he asked great questions, was attentive, and I could see he was clearly thinking through how best to go about things including alternative (better!) approaches to what I had suggested. I called him when we'd hit overload on a bunch of projects around the house that just weren't getting done. Started out with a few things like installing a towel rack and replacing a ceiling vent (in a tough spot where the drywall needed to be reinforced), then moved into a more significant project ... patching, sanding, and painting several holes in the wall where we'd had an electrician move light switches and in the ceiling where we moved a light fixture to a new location. He picked up the paint for me on the way to the house, recommended some texturing for the wall (not something I'd thought about), and worked through the whole process high-speed over a couple of days in time for a holiday party we were having. All turned out great. So I figured, hey, why not throw something else at him ... landscape lighting. I gave him the lowdown and the next day he sent me an overhead view of my house from Google Maps that he'd used to illustrate, with icons, where all of the lights should go, how many watts per light, and how that related back to four different power supplies / capacities, etc. In an afternoon's time he installed lights around our backyard and across most of our front. Was hard to believe we waited so long to do that ... makes a huge difference! We now have a pretty lengthy punch list of projects we're working through including wiring and mounting a closet light, grinding down what remains of an old fence post, shaving the bottom off of a door so it closes properly, and installing some flat-mount surround sound speakers, which requires cutting the holes and dropping down wires from the attic, etc. He's more than handy. He's a thinker and problem solver. Nice having Todd as our new go-to. Highly recommend giving him a project to tackle.
