This was my first visit to The Cheese Cake Factory. We were new here so we took help of the waiter for food suggestions. Tropical moose to start with. Macaroni with cheese as starter. The cheese was top notch it melted in our mouth as we ate. It was a complete pleasure. We ended with the original cheese cake as dessert. Waiter was kind and made our day. Will definitely visit again.

First time at Here and I'm very disappointed. The dishes were dirty the break was hard. The salmon was not season. I had to add salt to my food and i don't like a lot of salt. The bathroom was nasty

I have usually always had a good experience at the Cheesecake Factory, with one exception. My boyfriend and I went for dinner last night and our waiter never greeted us - he just asked what we wanted to drink. We were never given knives (it was kind of hard spreading butter on our appetizer bread with a fork) We ordered an appetizer, and when it was delivered the waiter just slammed the appetizer down on the table and walked away. When we finally got our entrees, my orange chicken was fried so hard that you could barely tell there was chicken under all of the breading. So when the waiter returned 10 minutes later to ask how our food was I told him the chicken was too heavily fried (i could barely get a fork in it without using force to pierce the meat) I then re-ordered another dish which took over 30 minutes to get back to our table. In the meantime, my boyfriend was already finished with his dinner and so I asked the waiter to just put my order in a to go box. Never once did the waiter acknowledge that anything had gone wrong with our dining experience, nor did the manager ever address any issues that we had. Needless to say - we wont be going back and I am highly unsatisfied with the service and lack of management acknowledgment.

PLEASE, AND KINDLY TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW:I have been to several restaurants. I have lived in Chapel Hill for my entire life, and I have been to Raleigh, Durham, and countless other places to eat out. This restaurant was by far the worst. I WISH I could say that the food was bad, and that the service was good, but that would be a compliment. Shortened version of the story: A group of 14 people (ages 17-18) were attempting to have a birthday dinner at the cheesecake factory for 2 of the 14 people. We ended up waiting outside with our table buzzer for about 3 hours. We went back in to complain about the wait, and the manager spoke down to us a tone that implied that we were all 10 years old. The manager whom was working at the cheesecake factory in durham at southpoint mall, in between the times of 6-11pm on saturday september 13, 2014 was incredibly rude, and ruined our entire night. The food was beyond underwhelming, and I honestly feel that I could have gotten a juicier, better seaoned burger at mcdonalds. I'm saying that in a way that is unbiased as possible (which is saying something). A friend was close to fainting from not having much food all day to save her appetite for dinner (her blood sugar was low), and even with the manager informed about this, nothing was done to help her. Most people lost their appetite after about 10PM because we had to wait an incredibly long time just to be seated, and then about 30-40 minutes to get our food. The bread that was first served to us was cold, and hard. My factory burger was ordered with pickles and without a tomato, and neither of those requests were fulfilled, plus, the grilled onions were not present, and the burger was very sloppy. The fries must have been fried in old grease, because they were not as good as they could have been. Even after one of the groups' parents came to talk to the manager, nothing was accomplished. We actually were told by one of the servers that the parent that came in to rant to the manager, was being talked about BY THE MANAGER to all of the servers, and that may be a reason why the service was quite bad. The daughter of the parent actually had to ask to get water, when everyone else at the table was automatically given water. If you do not think this is absolutely ridiculous, then idk what else to say. I could go into detail about what happened, but I just wanted to inform everyone that the night was ruined by this specific cheesecake factory. I personally blame the manager for being irrelevamt, rude, and obnoxious, but our group held it together and remained polite. Please do me a favor, and do not waste your money here. Go to champs, or magiannos, or mcdonalds, but do not go to the cheesecake factory. If i could give a negative rating (in the most unbiased way possible) I would. Thanks for reading this review.

Jon was our water and was excellent. Providing service when we need it and got out of the way. I was amazed how big the menu was and pleased to see that my wife and son, who are vegetarian, could find a number of options. I had the Cobb salad and it was great. For a big name place they do a good job here.

Pretty good for a chain restaurant. I've eaten at dozens of Cheesecake Factories all over the country and this one does not stand out for being better or worse than all of the others. I think over the years we've had a few bad experiences here, but for the most part it is good. The food is always good and the cheesecake is great as usual.

Service and atmosphere were great as usual, but the Ceasar salad was very bland and a disappointment. I'll have to try a burger next time!

The meal was pretty good and the desert was good for not having made it myself. My problem came when I took my Shephards pie to lunch the next day and I was MOLDY!! I was shocked, I have come right home and put my leftover in the frige mind you. To mold that fast what was in it?! I will not be going back that for sure.
