Lots of lovely things! I will have to join in on the Summer of S. I am knitting a lovely shawl right now, it's the Messalina by Kay Jones. Alice is adoreable! I could hear her at the end saying "give me the cookie mommy". My Winston clung to me for days after we took a short trip to see my parents. You can tell they love you when you come back and they are so elated. Have a great weekend!

Your shawl is lovely and I am sure your dh will love the socks. You are doing well spinning on your wheel! I need to get mine out and use it more. Congrats on 2 years! Have a great week!
It does sound like you have had quite a time of it. I am glad your ins. is going to be covered at least. I know that is a difficult thing to face. I am very glad that your son is well. It must have been scary to deal with when your husband was gone on a trip. I am one of those people that tend to knit like crazy when I am stressed. I work well under pressure. However, there are times when I cannot knit. My body and brain say nope. I end up picking up a book and reading. I can go through several books and then I'm ready to knit again. Just depends on the situation. Sounds like you have your hands full. Can't wait to see what will be coming out. I like the way you have done the kangaroo pocket. Do you attach another ball and work the front and back at the same time? Silly question, you would have to do that. I posted a question for you in the rav board. If you don't have time for it right now, no worries. You are very busy. I hope things calm down for you and that you get some time for pleasure knitting. Flo
Lovely episode Wendy. You have been busy if you say you haven't the Cloche is lovely! You knot when you suffer for a sever disease or lose someone it changes your perspective on things. What is important becomes so much more important. Like being with family and doing things together. Glad that you are seeing that. It will bring so much more richness into your life. HUGS
Great how to video. I had to watch several that didn't make sense before I found yours. I was wondering though if you had a video on how to finish the heel. I am using the pattern out of a book that is top down so I don't know how to finish it.
I giggle every time you say your husband has chicken legs because we used to tease my hubby about having chicken legs, his mom has them too. I am so glad you got a spot a SSK. It's too bad I'm not going, I would love to meet you. I live south east of Nashville. I am still trying to get a consistent thickness on my wheel but I am getting better. I realized tonight that I need to spin every night to get there. My wheel got moved to the living room tonight. Just need to find a good chair to spin in. I hope you have a great week!
I have a friend that has attended the school and knows Martha. Thank you for pronouncing Appalachia correctly. So many people pronounce it incorrectly! How interesting how you made the move from being a History Professor to a designer and book editor. Thanks for sharing with us!
My daughter introduced me to your music and I have to say I love it. Simon Cowll was an idiot for not seeing your talent. Obviously, even though he is an Englishman, he's never watched Máiréad Nesbitt, that tours with Celtic Woman. She dances and plays as well. Thank You for sharing your lovely music!
