This morning , it's a surprise for me to see four duckling and their Mom in the little creek, it's such a lovely scene. But something dangerous might be there , yes, the hawk found those duckling too, this was the photo taken before the hawk took off and tried to grab one of the ducklings under the tree. Lucky for the little ducklings, the Hawk didn't make it.
The true finches are small to medium-sizedpasserine birds in the family Fringillidae. Finches have stout conical bills adapted for eating seeds and often have colourful plumage. They occupy a great range of habitats where they are usually resident and do not migrate. They have a world-wide distribution except for Australia and the polar regions.
Many birds in other families are also commonly called "finches", including somespecies in the very similar-looking waxbills orestrildid finches (family Estrildidae) of the Old World tropics and Australia; several groups of the bunting and American sparrow family (Emberizidae); and the Darwin's finches of theGalapagos islands, now considered members of the tanager family (Thraupidae).
