I report on the traffic for WDSU News in New Orleans
Introduction

A Washington native, Susan Isaacs moved to New Orleans in 2005 to attend Xavier University before she got bit by the news bug.

Susan was hired by WDSU news in 2013 as the morning traffic reporter.

Her first job in the newsroom came in 2007, when Susan began working on the news desk at a New Orleans television station while enrolled in college. As a production assistant, Susan honed her writing skills and was promoted to associate producer shortly after she graduated in 2009, then soon to traffic reporter.

Susan was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She moved to New Orleans to attend college and pursue her dream of becoming a reporter.

Susan was selected as a 2012 March of Dimes Honoree, as well as tutors kids and teaches swim lessons at the North Rampart Community Center. Her passion for helping children isn't the only thing she brought from her home in Tacoma.

Susan and her twin sister, Amanda, live together in New Orleans with their dog, King.
