Lovely poetic reflection by Tamara Beachum: Artful Living After Loss that demonstrates how to relax into your relationship with grief http://tamarabeachum.com/but-grief-said-not-today/ And, Tamara, big love to you and your family as you remember Ken.

Harriet Lerner's latest book, Marriage Rules by Harriet Lerner is now available in paperback. Like all her other books, it offers really solid relationship advice. Actually, this would be a goodie to read together with your partner, reading to each other one chapter at a time and discussing your thoughts on the chapter. Also, here's an interview with Harriet, if you want a sense of the woman behind the book http://www.ordinarycourage.com/my-blog/2012/1/25/an-inspiration-interview-giveaway-with-harriet-lerner.html and then you can get the book here: http://www.amazon.com/Marriage-Rules-Manual-Married-Coupled/dp/1592406912/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1344805040&sr=1-1&keywords=Marriage+Rules (not an affiliate link - I'm just a big fan of Harriet's work!)

If you're recognizing the need to learn more about grief support (for all types of losses) in your practice as a coach, please join our open call on 15 January. Kara and I will share about the core values, beliefs and theories that our approach is grounded in. It'll be a good "Grief 101" and also a good way to decide if our certification program would be a good fit for you if you're interested in pursuing deeper training in grief support. tahttp://griefcoachingcertification.com/2013/01/open-call-on-15-january-the-values-beliefs-theories-in-our-approach-to-grief-support/

Hearing about the New Zealand practice of bringing stillborn babies home was both fascinating and heart-opening. So glad to see that Alana Burton Sheeren recorded a conversation about it with Vicki Culling. It's good to see the opening up of more choices for bereaved parents. http://alanasheeren.com/2012/12/20/transformation-talk-with-vicki-culling/

In case you missed my note last week, Kara Chipoletti Jones and I are having an open call next week where we'll share about the core themes in the approach that we teach in our Creative Grief Coaching certification course. Sort of a "Grief 101" and we'll answer questions about our course that starts in February. http://us4.campaign-archive2.com/?u=fd03c4d17dad1f92f5eab98c2&id=6b2c50da80

Kara and I are gearing up for the next Creative Grief Coaching Certification class that starts in February... loving seeing the group of big-hearts that have decided to join us this round! A few spots are left and the Earlybird course fee ends on Monday, if you want to join us still and secure the lower course price. http://griefcoachingcertification.com/creative-grief-coach-certification/

If you're a coach, counselor, teacher or helping professional, wanting to learn how to support people through their grief using creativity, our Feb 2013 course has just 6 spots left. 7 January is the deadline for the Earlybird pricing. We run the course twice a year, so the next one will be Sept 2013, if you miss this boat. I'm very happy to connect if you have questions to help you decide if this is a good fit for developing your practice as a coach - just shoot me an email at cath@griefcoachingcertification.com. Wishing you all a peaceful, rich and abundant year as you grow your light in the world! http://griefcoachingcertification.com/creative-grief-coach-certification/
