Who doesn't love watching a movie or going to a concert in an unconventional environment / location? I DO! Hollywood Forever hosts all kinds of rad events such as movie screenings (Cinespia) or concerts with some of today's hottest stars. They have other events as well but have only attended the venue for the above types of events.

Seems like a great place to go when there's something going on (ie. day of the dead, movies, shows, picnic, etc). Very peaceful with subtle creepiness. Next time I'll try to come for an event. I'm really bummed I couldn't find Mel Blancs tombstone :( voice of Bugs Bunny warning: You will step on duck poop, no way to avoid it

Love this place. Attend regularly for Cemetery screenings (cinespia) its a wonderful atmosphere, lots of walking needed. Also, have attended concert at the Masonic Lodge and it was amazing. Incredibly intimate, acoustic only. Drinks are $5 each. The only complaint I had was this it was incredibly hot with not air circulating. Also a little hard to find, there were no signs to direct you but would definitely come back for a concert here anytime.

I had a dreadful experience when my mother passed away June, 2015. Hollywood Forever was unprepared to transport the body and my husband had to wrap my mother and help get her in the van. The day of the funeral we had no assistance. No one was available to direct us to the correct site. Guests did not know where to go. Every person we came in contact with was very insensitive and uncaring. When I contacted them after the funeral they denied any problem. My entire experience with Hollywood Forever , during this very difficult time, was awful.

Saw a podcast recording (MBMBAM) here on a Friday night and it had most things you want in a venue. Smart PA, easy parking, and a great space. Note, when they say, "Not accessible" they reaaaaaallllyyyy mean it. Stairs and no elevator. Tiny bathroom. Strangely anti-disability ghosts of dead celebrities. Weird.

Beautiful place with peacocks roaming the grounds. We visited the graves of Mel Blanc (Looney Tunes), Don Adams (Get Smart) and Johnny Ramone (The Ramones). It's free to go for a visit and take a stroll.

I've only been to a concert here (Phantogram), but the experience was really fun. You can picnic bringing food/beer/wine so it's similar to the Hollywood Bowl in that sense, but it's more casual and comfortable since you lay out blankets and sit on the grass while the show/movie is going on. It's definitely an experience to be in a cemetery for a concert or movie, a little creepy at first when you see all the gigantic headstones but you're in an area separate from all the grave sites. I would only hope most people are respectful of those buried here walking back to their cars.
