Wonderful trip. Anyone going must go to the nature center. The young lady that demonstrated the animals to us was so informative. She didn't just point them out, she explained who, what and why. The demonstration was the best I have ever been to. All nature centers should be that good. The park itself was so worth the trip. It costs money to go in due to the state not taking care of the state park systems. I had no problem supporting the state parks. So worth it. We went the 2nd week of October 2015 and would love to go back and live there. So beautiful

We plan on making Huntington Beach an annual tradition. We camped in the primitive camping and walked to the beach daily. Our kids loved the trails, the nature center, the beach, the marsh walks to see alligators. After camping here we stayed at Myrtle Beach for a couple days and were amazed at how much nicer and cleaner the beach at Huntington was. For those who want to enjoy the outdoors but not get into the tourism stuff, this is so the place to go.

Beautiful and very clean beach. Water fowl are abundant. Atalaya ( winter home of Archer and Anna Huntington) was well worth the $2. Highly recommend this state park.

Beautiful part of SC, with easy access to beach, great nature to explore, and exceptionally friendly, helpful staff! What more do you need?! Clean, convenient facilities. I'd definitely visit again.

We LOVE this Beach/Park! We actually live 8 min from NMB beaches, but we drive the 45 minutes to go to Huntington! When we go to the beach, we stay out all day long. And since we can't use a canopy in NMB, we decided to try Huntington. We loved it so much, we bought an annual parking pass. We love the wildlife, we take the pups on the cooler days, take our bikes, and we even saw some alligators in the marsh today! Our son loves the nature center, Atalaya castle, and of course, the store! Highly recommend this place!

We go to Huntington Beach State Park at least once or twice a year. The beach is very clean. Get there early for the best spots. It can get crowded after lunch. Atalaya is a must see. Lots of nature to explore.
