Very happy to see this review from SpaceBiff for my new game... https://thurot.com/2016/08/25/heir-to-the-pharaoh/

Played my first game of Heir to the Pharaoh by +Alf Seegert tonight with my daughter, who won by 1 stinking point. 48-47.

First, this game gets bidding with 2 players right - it's a 2 player only game and it's a heck of a lot of fun. Second, components are very decent - wooden bits and the cardboard standees they replaced for the various monuments, wooden blocks and cardboard for the main pyramid, good quality cards, easy to read rule book and a great quality and illustrated game board.

I'll write up a review in a day or three but suffice it to say we both want to play again soon.

Coming to Kickstarter early March..... :)  Thanks, Ben!
Every now and again I get wind of a new game coming out that has me all excited. This is one of those times. Heir to the Pharaoh is a 2 player game coming to KS in March.

What has peaked my interest is that it's a design from +Alf Seegert (who you may know from Fantastiqa, Dingo's Dream, Road to Canterbury and more). Alf also did some writing for Above and Below, one of my favorite games.

I had no real idea this game existed until Alf let me know about it. Fantastiqa is one of my top 5 games of all time so this one's really got me interested.

What games are coming down the pipe that you are keeping an eye on?

Excited to see Mike Fitzgerald's Baseball Highlights 2045 game now on Kickstarter. I'm not usually into sports games, but the cyberpunkish theme really calls my name: bots vs. borgs vs. naturals!

My upcoming game with Steven Poelzing, CUBIST, has a new look!

Graphic designer Adam McIver designed an awesome new logo: pic.twitter.com/IiiGYRBi11

It's on Kickstarter here:  http://kck.st/13p9RC0

This was a case study in uber-helpful critique from a fellow gamer and backer: Adam first pointed out what he really liked about Cubist (pretty much everything), then he pointed out what he didn't like (the logo), and then he not only proposed an alternative but actually volunteered to design a new logo! I think it looks fantastic. Thanks, Adam!
