Basic Information
A wonderfully scenic site, sadly spoiled by a less than impressive golf course! Whoever is the Green kepper / Secretary, may I respectfully note that:- (1) Bunkers should have SOME amount of sand and not the pre-concrete gravel which has been in existence for the past year (2) The condition of the tees is less than satisfactory - at least get them cut. Indeed the 2nd back-tee is absolutely shameful. If you can present it as a tee then don't use it AS a tee! (3) The greens need a damn good aeration; they are solid with a deep covering of wire-wool to make them "green-like". However when you have to 'ram' a 4ft down hill putt and it still comes up short then you know there is a problem. Remember, golfers use a putter on the greens not a chipper. (4) Reception in the pro-shop was 'cold' and unwelcoming. (5) Catering staff were great and food quality acceptable. So, if you are an inexperienced golfer that like to 'hack it round' then this is probably the place for you. If however you are looking for a course that plays like a golf course then its best to look elsewhere.
