NEW RECIPE POSTED ON EATINASIAN. #DIY PRESERVED LEMONS.

I LOVE LEMONS and thank god because I live in an area with a ton of lemon trees, which of course results in my fridge being filled with more lemons than I can use. So what exactly does it mean to preserve a lemon? Well, basically what it is is pickling the lemons in their own juice and adding distilled water. If you’re a lemon lover like me, then you are gonna love this recipe not only for the flavor but for how simple it is to make.

We got funked up with Elysian Brewing celebrating the national launch of #SuperFuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale. So refreshing. So #delicious 🍻. Why aren't more parties at rollerrinks. OMG it was like going back in time. The only difference was the hotdogs are bigger and I'm old enough to drink beer. 🤣

All the time cravings!! Thinking about how tasty @astrodoughnuts would be right now. 😋. So many doughy, tasty, creative and pretty options. My two favorites are the cream Brulé and the Meyer lemon filled with Meyer lemon filling. So happy y'all are in #DTLA.

One of my favorite #Vietnamese sweet treats Bánh Bò Nướng or honeycomb cake or tapioca cake or the green fluffy mountain cake. It's green from the pandan, it's gluten free, super airy and freakin delicious.

Another fun & tasty #diy. Watermelon squares with......can you guess what's on top?

Shredded goat cheese!!! It was one of those moments where I was expecting a certain flavor, which was sweet, because visually it looks like shredded coconut and then my tastebuds went into major shock (as well as my facial expression as my mouth puckered) and then I was like...huh...ohhhh what a good idea 💡. I love it when people get creative with their food. #letseat

#memorymonday to that time I interviewed #Chef Chanel for a piece I was writing for a local food mag. Check out a recap of our Q&A. I love spending time with motivating people. Tag someone who motivates you (after you read the Q&A of course 🤣)

What are your top 5 spices?
CHEF: Granulated Garlic
Crushed Red Pepper
Granulated Onion
Cumin powder
Chili powder

What is your favorite dessert?
CHEF: English sticky toffee pudding and peach cobbler.

What are your aspirations as a chef?
CHEF: To teach. I'm currently getting my masters and will continue on with the academics.

Any desire to do a cooking show?
CHEF: I actually am hired to travel throughout the U.S. to eat the food of people that want to be on cooking shows. I’m the first person that tastes the food making sure the contestant gets feed back for their dish.

Do you have a favorite thing you like to do with food?
CHEF: I like making things you would have on a plate in one bite. I will work with any region and type of food but I want it in small bites.

Do you have a favorite cuisine?
CHEF: Southern comfort food. Comfort food equates to a lot of things but I love southern food.
