Happy New Year from Alcatraz this morning, 106 swimmers jumped in the water and swam back to the Dolphin and South End Clubs. Kelley and I were piloting in a wooden Viking double (Lifthrasir). The swim ended up going from Pier 39 to Aquatic Park due to ship traffic, fog and a strong ebb that could have been not-so-good.
