SEO Marketing Specialist - Oshkosh, WI
Our client seeks an SEO Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing natural search marketing activities, including ensuring on-page and third-party SEO content optimization to attain maximum organic search rankings. This position is responsible for driving growth in site traffic and revenue through various SEO marketing tactics, with special focus on link-building from high-authority third party sites. This role requires the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the search marketing roadmap including keyword management, creation of online link-building content, creative testing, and analytics.
Major Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
' Develop and lead online content strategy and execution to improve customer engagement, search relevance and rankings for the websites and microsites of 5+ brands.
' Plan, manage, and regularly report on SEO program budget, promotional planning and performance. Identify and report on key performance indicators and opportunities for improvement.
' Launch and manage link-building program, creating strategy and content to drive keyword-enabled content from high-authority third-party external & internal websites. Research niches and products and find places around the web to add informative or compelling content that includes links back to our web properties.
' Launch and manage blogs, starting new blogs and building relationships with current, relevant bloggers to drive traffic, increase links and build authoritative domain ranking.
' Establish best-practices for search optimization across all marketing channels. Partner with digital marketing team colleagues to ensure that social media, affiliate program, SEM, press, video, online content, and site merchandising efforts all support SEO.
' Manage vendors as needed.
' Establish best-practices across various online channels, web and IT systems, and processes impacting SEO.
' Provide strategic direction to web copy-writers and marketing content managers to enhance web copy by adding SEO keywords to all searchable content.
' Responsible for researching and establishing keywords and phrases for each product and category, which will be used consistently in all searchable content.
' Responsible for review and analysis of web site performance metrics and campaign optimization .
' Execute tactics that are copy/content related (e.g. adding keywords to meta tags, meta descriptions)
' Provide back-up/support to SEM program in day-to-day paid search marketing activities across multiple search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing, etc.), including campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and optimization of paid search campaigns. Using SEM SaaS tools, grow and optimize our paid search keyword portfolio through ad copy testing (i.e. A/B copy testing), landing pages, bidding strategies, negative keywording, etc.
' Keep up with industry best-practices and use these findings to drive recommendations and opportunities.
Required education, skills, abilities, and experience:
' Bachelor's Degree
' Candidates must have at least 2 years experience in search marketing
' Familiarity with Google Adwords, Google Analytics and Adobe SiteCatalyst (Omniture).
' Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels (search, affiliate, email, social, video, content, etc)
' Must have both creative and analytical abilities
' Be comfortable making data-based decisions and recommendations
' Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
' Proven skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
' Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
' Proactive sense of responsibility
' Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with accuracy
