So I decided to Google breakfast near my location on a Sunday morning and I JUST left this location. Despite being under staffed It was excellent. The guy doing everything out front was very nice and friendly. The food was well worth the wait fresh and hot. Very filling cooked from scratch full of flavor meal. So tasty. The cottage fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside and not one bit oily. So good. Relaxing atmosphere very calming. Highly recommended!!! Opened Wed - Sun for breakfast and lunch this Mom and Pop owned and ran place is a hidden treasure in downtown Portland.

A hidden Gem. Not an in-and-out sort of place, but you'll be seated quickly (even on the weekend), so come prepared to sit around the table chatting and drinking coffee/tea. The food is very good and very unique. The decor is reminiscent of an endearing grandma who has questionable taste in figurines, but it adds to the genuine charm in my humble opinion. Best breakfast in downtown, for sure.

Wow! I took my staff to breakfast and someone recommended Sugar Mama's. I was blown away! Fast service, delicious food, and the price was great! Best biscuits and gravy in town!!!!!!

Tried to have breakfast with me parents and family (4 adults and 2 kids under 5) and a sign in the window said no parties greater than 4. There were less than 6 other patrons in the restaurant so I asked politely if we could get served. We were turned away for having too any people... I guess I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Worth the wait. We shared the corned beef hash and it was great. French Toast was perfect. We had a large group and they handled it just fine.

If you work nearby, and it's not already crowded, I guess it's OK. Passable food when you're hungry, service is OK, decor is nothing special. For the longest time after opening they didn't even light up the sign outside so I couldn't tell if it was open unless I was right there staring through the glass (the glass is dimmed.) Uh, marketing 101, let people know you're there maybe? I'd give it another chance, but they seem like they still have some wrinkles to iron out.

The best breakfast in Portland. The prices are good, and the food is phenomenal. I missed you Sugar Mama's and am so glad that you have returned.

Meh. Poorly cooked breakfast and they only had garlic bread for toast as all of the other bread was off... Weird atmosphere as well.
