Well I tried their hell on a bun sandwich, flavored with 8 different ghost pepper hot sauces with peppers and all ( what they said ) , takes up a large carry box and a small handsized carton of milk . after bout ten good bites I caved ( the dirty tricky is the bacon is the hottest thing due to its dipped in that sauce! Oooooo the humanity not the bacon!) Food was good but I'm only giving 4 stars becuz the place was rather small . But if your a person who lives for a challenge or looking to sate your masochism( like I was) try the hell on a bun and avenge my failure!!!

I drove from 2 hours away to get "The best BBQ in VA". I can tell you that I have had better BBQ from the local grocery store. I am not sure why people hype up this place???? I am not sure if it is a case where people just do not know good BBQ, or they just settle for mediocre food. My wife and I spent $36 dollars for lunch. I got the 3 meat platter with pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. The pulled pork had to be the best out of the 3 meats, but not ranked in my top 50 ever eaten. The brisket was about 2 hours overcooked and dark grey in color. I took 1 bite out of my ribs and threw the rest away. I NEVER throw food away but there wasn't enough sauce in the place to help those ribs. I take great pride in cooking great BBQ and I do it regularly on my grills I have at home. I do not like leaving bad reviews, but I needed to let people know a HONEST opinion about this place.

Oh my, what a find! Tender, smoked ribs, pulled pork, brisket ... Flavorful sides, A variety of sauces. Counter service, polite staff. Parking next door too. Worth a detour from I-64

Some friends took a ride (2 hrs) on motorcycles from No Va. to try "the best BBQ in Va." Boy what a disappointment, we got there at 11am, opens at 11. and they said they were out of brisket. The ribs were not cooked, needed a knife to get them apart and very chewy and no flavor unless you doused them in sauce . I also didn't get what atmosphere they were talking about. we almost saw about 3 crashes at the entrance to the restaurant while we were there for about 1/2 hour. At least the scenic route down and back was great. People were saying also best in the area but I can't imagine trying the others.

Had them cater a party for us & everything (pulled pork, pulled chicken, beef, Brunswick stew, & several sides) was great. Have since gone back for dine in & we were very pleased once again. Very pleasant to deal with.

Brisket was lean and good, cooked well. Pork was way too salty, mac and cheese seemed to be made with a beshemel sauce rather than cheese, cole slaw was not great, fries frozen and over seasoned, service was hastened and staff rude.

Wow, this place is great. The pulled pork and chopped brisket were winners, along with the pork belly, which was smoky, savory, and delicious. And the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes were winners as well. Save some room for dessert too!

After hearing alot of people rave about this place, we thought we'd give it a try. Really not impressed, unfortunately. The pork was good, but the ribs had an odd taste. There were 6 different sauces on the table, but I swear they all tasted the same! The only difference was the level of heat and the color. The coleslaw was okay. I also ordered mac and cheese, which was not good. It tasted like and had the consistency of Stouffers frozen mac & cheese. The cornbread was meh. Was really in the mood for some really good BBQ and this just wasn't it. Sorry :(
