Indeed. What we have are long series of actual level of atmospheric CO2, of which growth is not abating despite all discourses, forum, traties, taxes ... about it. http://co2now.org has such series, relevant at worldwide scale since 1958, those series would be easy to publish as linked data.
Having details of the carbon budget by countries, and see real impacts of such and such policies (or lack of) is another story. Counting what is coming out of industrial and private consumption of fossile fuels is one thing, but assessing exchanges between soil, water and atmosphere depends on many parameters not all known. Positive feedback loops are already in work through deforestation, wild fires, changes in soil management, thawing of permafrost and relative methane release etc.

I've just posted about archiving Twitter feeds the hacky way on OKFNLabs http://okfnlabs.org/blog/2013/01/08/archiving-twitter-feeds-the-hacky-way.html
There are many circumstances where you want to archive a tweets - maybe just from your own account or perhaps for a hashtag for an event or topic. Unfortunately Twitter search queries do not give data...

Because giving your tweets to Google makes much more sense.

Why not just download or scrape your tweets?

Or wait for the LoC to figure out how to index the archive so it can be searched.
