I agree with your sentiments. It is a lot more fun listening to the Firesign theater than some people playing D &D.

Got mine today. Thanks Michael; I am hoping to get a lot of use out of it.

You all reminded me of the film House on Skull Mountain, notable for one of the worst mat paintings ever. A similarly bad skull mountain appears in People that Time Forgot.

Speaking of shambling mounds, we lost the co-creator of Swamp Thing- Len Wein. Swamp Thing was one of a few DC comics Dad would buy in the 70's. Berni Wrights ones art was the main reason, but Dad stayed loyal to Swamp Thing through the 80's. Len Wein also gave us my favorite X man; Nightcrawler, and of course Wolverine, a Canadian super hero.

This is a very clever little movie about creativity. It also has monsters and traps. Maybe a bit scary and weird for young kids.

Found these at my Mom's house. My parents copies of the Lord of the Rings from the 50's. They read them allowed with their friends before I was born. Then I was read them by my Dad and again by my mother and step father. They are in terrible condition, especially The Fellowship, from being loved too well.

I started playing in 1977. There was no Basic set then, or Dad would've chosen it. I am in my 50's so I guess that makes me a knight. I once sat at the high table next to Gary Gygax's daughter so perhaps I am some special rank. My biggest claim to fame is being John Eric Holmes's son who draws. I am partially responsible for Boinger and Zereth, who are fictional. I may be the creator of the initiative by dexterity rule, and the Witch doctor character class.
