Every Australian should be required to read this: "The Impossible Refugee Boat Lift to Christmas Island”. A very brave journalist and photographer risking death to expose the things that refugees coming to Australia go through.

My brand new phone! :D I cannot wait until it arrives!

On a side note Google has nailed my price limit with buying basically without thinking, I ordered the Nexus 5 straight away without thinking and I've been contemplating an iPhone 5 / 5s for months!

Probably the reason I'm excited about +Google Glass is the potential for journalists, and +Tim Pool  is pushing the abilities of Glass to be able to share stories and breaking news in even the toughest of places!

Some great news for the gamers out there! For some reason I'm unable to connect to Ubisoft's servers at the moment and that means that I'm having some missing features...

Ubisoft phasing out online pass program, will be free for Assassin's Creed 4 - http://www.polygon.com/2013/10/31/5052198/ubisoft-phasing-out-uplay-passport-will-be-free-for-assassins-creed-4

Ubisoft plans to phase out its Uplay Passport and will offer one as a free download for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, according to a post today on the Ubisoft blog.

Those who purchase Black Flag but don't have a Uplay Passport will be able to download one free through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live to play the Edward’s Fleet and other multiplayer modes.

EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that luckily it's carefully worded so it's not false advertising. I was wrong.

I'm pretty sure that's false advertising. The first part promises that if you buy your engagement or wedding rings you'll receive a free holiday to Thailand or Fiji.

While the next parts says only 1 couple a month is eligible... So unless they expect that they are going to only sell to one couple in a month, the first part is obviously false.

+Martin Leonard good point. I guess I was a bit too tired at the time for the wording to fully sink in.

Very nice place for coffee, and food. They use Merlo beans for their coffee, and is well prepared. Took a while to get the food out, however is worth the wait. Note: Although I said it's expensive, it isn't expensive for the type of place it is.

One of the best book stores in Brisbane. They stock a huge range of different books, not just "best sellers". The staff are always ready to help search for books or to order them in for you even if they cannot get them from their usual suppliers.
