Quaint little baked goods shop for cookies, cakes, brownies & coffee drinks plus daily specials.- Google
"Pretty sure my red velvet cupcake was at least 3 days old!"
"...like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or York Peppermint Patties."

Stopped in hoping to pick up an order for a co-workers birthday (I hadn't called ahead or placed an order). The lady working there was so kind and more than accommodating. In-and-out in no time with a selection of delicious party favors.

I've stopped in many times at The Cupcake Counter to purchase cupcakes for my family. This shop is small and very narrow but don't let that fool you into not stopping in to get delicious cupcakes. Each flavor I've bought for my family has not gone to waste they love cupcakes from The Cupcake Counter.

Hands down, best cupcakes in Chicago! Everything is handmade fresh from scratch and they offer a lot of flavor varieties with candy baked in the centers, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or York Peppermint Patties.

At first impression, this is a small cupcake shop nestled into the downtown Chicago area that might be easily missed when passing by on the street. There weren't many options available to choose from as compared to Crumbs, another popular cupcake shop one block away, although I decided to try it out on a whim. I ordered the chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting, which was a phenomenal decision. The flavor was very rich and strong, the texture was moist. The frosting was delicate and light and complemented the cake well. I highly recommend visiting here.

I love cupcakes! But this place was not good! Their cupcakes are dry, I ordered one cupcake, because this was my first time there, I got a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, the cupcake seem to be old it was not fresh. The girl who waited on me was not friendly, and she picked up my cupcake with her bare hands, no glove, no tissue paper, nothing. The frosting was hard and dry. I would not return to this establishment again.

The girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful when I went in. I had an all vanilla cupcake and it was awesome! I went in there twice over our four day trip because they were so great. Would definitely stop back if I'm ever in the area again
