I love cupcakes! But this place was not good! Their cupcakes are dry, I ordered one cupcake, because this was my first time there, I got a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, the cupcake seem to be old it was not fresh. The girl who waited on me was not friendly, and she picked up my cupcake with her bare hands, no glove, no tissue paper, nothing. The frosting was hard and dry. I would not return to this establishment again.

I've stopped in many times at The Cupcake Counter to purchase cupcakes for my family. This shop is small and very narrow but don't let that fool you into not stopping in to get delicious cupcakes. Each flavor I've bought for my family has not gone to waste they love cupcakes from The Cupcake Counter.

The girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful when I went in. I had an all vanilla cupcake and it was awesome! I went in there twice over our four day trip because they were so great. Would definitely stop back if I'm ever in the area again

Hands down, best cupcakes in Chicago! Everything is handmade fresh from scratch and they offer a lot of flavor varieties with candy baked in the centers, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or York Peppermint Patties.

I do like this independent cupcake shop in the Loop. They have a smaller rotation of flavors, but they do offer gluten free cupcakes, which is a huge perk. Their cupcakes are good, and the prices are comparable to the other specialty cupcake stores in the area. Service can be hit or miss.

pretty sure my red velvet cupcake was at least 3 days old! it was dry and hard and icing was almost runny from sitting out too long.
