The American electorate has elevated Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States. In four months in office he has shown himself as undisciplined, uneducated, impulsive and reluctant to learn as he was on the campaign trail. You can't do anything about the voters, but if the want Donald Trump as president of the United States, maybe you should resize the office to something Donald Trump can handle.

Respect for its war dead is basic to any nation, and any national leader, who ever has or expects to depend on military strength. It is a basic matter of decency if nothing else. For Donald Trump to disrespect a Gold Star family, not just disagree but disrespect, and then schmooze with his military subordinates as though he has no idea honour requires respecting the dead: that disturbs me more deeply than I though it could.
