Danish government has expressed its keen interest to invest one billion US dollar in Bangladesh for establishing a new fertilizer factory at Ashuganj in Brahmanbaria district. A preliminary proposal to establish the factory was handed by the Danish Ambassador Svend Olling to the Industries Minister Dilip Barua.

The Daily star published an interview with Professor Jørgen Ørstrøm Møller regarding Asia's supreme role in shaping world economy and Bangladesh's much needed policies to remain strong within Asian economic integrations.

Professor Møller was invited by Nordic Chamber to interact with its members on his book titled "How Asia Can Shape The World".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, in cooperation with Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka hosted an event on “Bangladesh Frontier Forum: Why Bangladesh? Why Now?” at Telenor Expo in Oslo, Norway.

Attended by dignitaries & business leaders of both Bangladesh & Norway, the event aimed to highlight & brand Bangladesh as an attractive investment destination.

Unified Voice of Nordic Business Community in Bangladesh
Introduction
The Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bangladesh (NCCI) was founded the 23rd Nov 2010 as a joint initiative of the Nordic Companies and Embassies in Bangladesh. The Nordic businesses have a strong presence in Bangladesh. Trade relations between the Nordic countries and Bangladesh have grown steadily over the years. The main business objective is to provide a chamber for discussing and exchanging views on business conditions and issues, both domestic and international, affecting Nordic Companies in Bangladesh.

CORE OBJECTIVES OF NCCI

A KNOWLEDGE SHARING PLATFORM FOR NORDIC COMPANIES
To facilitate success for Nordic businesses and its leaders in mastering the local challenges by sharing experiences, network resources, best practices. 

A UNIFIED NORDIC VOICE LOCALLY
To act as unifying body projecting and informing the joint views/statements of Nordic business in Bangladesh to the local stakeholders.

A POSITIVE IMAGE OF NORDIC BUSINESS AND BANGLADESH AS A DESTINATION
To measure and project the influence and impact of Nordic Businesses in Bangladesh and thereby also promote a positive image of Bangladesh as an investment destination for other Nordic businesses.

A NETWORK BOOSTER
To organise member meetings, workshops, edutainment seminars and other social functions.
