Please book your ticket for the British Film Designers Guild Annual Summer BBQ which we are holding in conjunction with a Portfolio Surgery in the style of a "speed dating" event (where guild members are invited to attend to meet and discuss their work with Production Designers, Supervising Art Directors & Set Decorators).

Please note the booking website will only book you a BBQ ticket - should any member wish to also be included in the Portfolio Surgery, YOU MUST contact the office to reserve a place.

The BBQ, weather permitting will be held outside of the Club Bar & the "Surgery" will be held in the Hitchcock Room, situated in Heatherden House, at Pinewood - (follow signs for South Car Park).

This BBQ is open to all BFDG members and potential members/colleagues attending with a current member and is free for BFDG members. Drinks are available from the paid bar.

Open from 6.00 pm

Finishes at 9.00 pm

Last orders for food at 8.00 pm

NB You will only be able to attend if you either book a ticket yourself via link below or contact the BFDG office as security at Pinewood requires a guest list in advance

Forwarded message from BECTU Art Department Branch
(London Prod Div)
Equipment Hire Survey
'As part of our renewed efforts to strengthen the Art Department we are looking at various issues that people feel need addressing. One of these is so called box rental (which from now on will be called 'Equipment Hire'.)

Many now feel that the amounts being paid do not reflect the level of equipment that we are expected to provide on modern productions. To better understand the issue we have put together a short questionnaire. It will only take a minute or two and will greatly help us in the process of trying to improve your working conditions. '

Please complete the online survey at this link: http://www.tinyurl.com/artdeptkithire

We are working very closely with the newly formed BECTU Art Department Branch, ensuring our voices are heard alongside other departments in discussions on rates, overtime, box rental and working hours. The art department branch have their AGM on 9th July which BECTU members and prospective members can attend to discuss the past year, plan the next year and vote on a new committee.
