Popular Mexican restaurant serving traditional, organic grub in a casual & bright dining room.- Google
"There is much better Mexican food in the Bay Area. Overpriced, dry, weird!"
"Get the totopos con chile to start and you can't go wrong from there!"

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Really cheap. You can't make reservations but you can call in ahead to put your name on the list. The carnitas are amazing

Why this place has good reviews is beyond me. Bland food. Small portions. Overpriced. The trifecta of a poor dining experience. Plating was not attractive. Just a slab of a quesadilla with very little meat compared to the tortilla. No rice/beans/salad. No nada. Do yourself a favor and go to a taqueria or somewhere like pica pica instead. Your stomach and wallet will be much happier.

There were some positives and drawbacks to dining here. We got a table at the time we had requested. They don't take reservations, which we knew beforehand, but they take your name either in person or by phone the same night. The food was hit and miss. I ordered the chicken mole and was very disappointed. It was a whole cooked chicken breast with mole sauce on top - not the way it's typically cooked and served. The chicken was pretty dry and flavorless (the sauce didn't have much flavor either). The appetizers were good (totopos con chile and ceviche) so was the carnitas entree. It has a weird layout, so you need to exit the restaurant and walk around the building to get to the restroom, which is one stall and you're often waiting with people waiting to pick up their take out. They could have designed this much better. Might not come back to dine, but would maybe take out.

Delicious, do not listen to negative reviews. The food was well made, light and service was superb. Will defiantly be back

Everything was great from fresh lime margarita to orange scented carnitas with home made blue corn tortillas and tomatillo salsa. Empanadas crisp, flavorful filling queso with house made chorizo and what else ? Nopalitos! Fabulous!!! What idiot said this was dry? Not greasy Mexican for sure. Worthy of classification as fine dining. Best Mexican ever.

My parents wanted to dine here ever since they saw Nopalito on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (which I think is weird because I don't think Nopalito is either of those..) Anyway, the show featured the Sunset location, but it was too far for them to travel from the East Bay, so we dined at the one off Broderick. We ordered a lot of dishes: side of beans, totopos, tacos dorado, tostada de trucha al crudo, tacos de pescado, ensalada de pepinos, and mole. We also got a free beef empanada because they served the wrong table (score!). For drinks, my sister and I each got the strawberry almond horchata. We enjoyed every single dish. The totopos are my go-to dish whenever I eat here, and they didn't disappoint. The fish tacos were satisfying as well. I tried everything except for the salad. I'm not a fan of cactus, which this salad had. My mom and my sister enjoyed it though. The only complaint I have is the bathroom. You have to exit the restaurant and enter this tiny room where they place to-go orders. The bathroom was disgusting, and I suggest using it if you really have to go. It can get really loud and crowded here. And I find the people dress a little more fancy here than in the Sunset location (for dinner at least). While you wait for a table, you can do a little snacking from the grocery store next door..but don't lose your appetite!

Good service, not so good food. Everything is very, very bland, not to mention overpriced. Don't believe the hype or the reviews. Better mexican food can be found in the mission for much cheaper.

The carnitas tacos at Nopalito made the 7x7 list of Big Eats so I organized an outing to try it with fellow #LocalGuides. The pork was succulent and the pickled sides went great with the tacos. Not recommended for large groups; call ahead and order to go!

Nopalito hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
