+dave nichols+zanesttc No need to make a video bashing someones product. Haha… I love Wild Turkey101 and Rare Breed so I thought I would try Kentucky Spirit. Finally finished the bottle and really did not like it at all. I don't know if I got a bad batch or that was just the style they were going for. That being said the last 2 glasses I had of it were the best out of the whole bottle. For those i decided to try it with an ice cube which I never do and for the last one I added probably 3 times as much water as I normally would. Wish I would have tried it those ways earlier in the bottle and maybe I would have liked it better.
You are exactly right. 90-proof-plus whiskeys and above show the more significant thin leg appearances, though richer whiskeys (even at higher proof) show an overall thick glass coating which remains after the legs have trailed. Thanks for sharing!
Laphroaig uses bourbon casks. They get them from Makers Mark. There's videos on YouTube of the Laphroaig people doing tastings with the Makers people. Maybe compare to Makers and see if you can pick it up.
