I got the chance to visit the DC Google office and was pretty impressed! My host was super nice, offering me everything from the fully stocked fridge (lots of Gatorade, Vitamin Water, Sobe, Coke, Pepsi, Red Bull, etc.) all the fruit, health bars, candy and snacks I could have. Then he gave me a tour of the office. Everyone looked really busy and smart. Just being there brought sheer happiness to me. I would love to go back and visit again! I felt a lot of positive energy coming from the Google office. I didn't get a chance to go on the rooftop because of the rain. But I can see some cool parties happening there.

This was the first Google office that I had the pleasure to visit. It was very well furnished, designed, and laid out. A great selection of free food and drinks accompanied the seminar/hackathon I was there for. Googlers are friendly and approachable, normal real people! like you and me! Would definitely love to return if given the chance!

Very disappointed and very angry to hear that Google is funneling money to American Legislative Exchange Council. Not only does ALEC have a history of promoting climate-change denial, they are also responsible for promoting voter disenfranchisement via voter ID laws and such racially biased laws as "stand your ground". Google has had a good reputation in the past for where it stands on political/social/economic issues it stands to lose that reputation very quickly by putting its name and resources behind these types of laws and policy agendas. We will continue to pay attention to where Google is putting its money.

Upon walking in I was immediately caught by their selection of Roast Beef, sliced chicken, and ham. Although vegetarian options did exist I chose to utilize the carne option and made myself a Roast Beef sandwich on a roll -- with wasabi mayo. The sandwich was decent however, lets be honest, Google DC is really known for their cupcakes. I was provided the choice of red velvet or vanilla -- i did not happen to see any chocolate options -- which ultimately resulted in the lowered rating. The flavor of the day was light cream in honor of the cherry blossom festival. I decided to go with the red velvet and was not let down. Google makes some exceptional cupcakes.

It appears that "don't be evil" is incomplete. The full Google slogan is: "Don't be evil; be VERY, VERY evil." Supporting climate deniers is not just buying into an evil that's already killing people today, it's investing in a legacy of death and destruction that promises to kill, impoverish and displace billions for generations, possibly destroying civilization in the process. Now THAT is an epic evil worthy of Google's giant reach and reputation.

I am certain of the horrific damage climate change is causing NOW, not in the distant future. Just look around you, everyday there are floods, hail, extreme heat, high winds, all causing death and destruction. Senator Inhof is a crazy man, just listen to the many things he says that are totally wrong, and totally ridiculous. Such a foolish man does not deserve to be a Senator of the United States that he seeks to destroy. Anyone, or any company or corporation should not simply refuse to support him, they should fight against him and his destructive rhetoric. All people should put Country First, but especially our Senators, Congressmen and women, the President, and every single member of the government. To stand by idle while our beautiful country is being systematically destroyed is bad enough, however, to participate in the destruction is pure evil. Either you believe in climate change, and the proof is all around you everyday, or you do not believe in climate change for political reasons, or stupidity, either case you are a willing participant in the destruction of our Nation.
