What about using another's schema with your own data? Should still cite, no?

Which really begs the question, "what is actually being cited?" The data, or the organisation of it?
Everyone in the academic realm is familiar with the importance of citing journals, papers, and authors -- but what about databases? This article and video in the September issue of CACM discuss this important and ofted overlooked aspect of scholarly citation.

Looks like someone failed science.  You can never prove your teacher wrong - you can only show evidence disproving the null hypothesis that your teacher was not wrong.
