Dropped by this restaurant while walking down Valencia St. The menu is in Italian but you can pretty much understand it. The pizza was delicious, your gonna have to use your knife and fork it can get messy.

Farina is totally underrated. The pizzas are incredible albeit very expensive but ok for happy hour (mon - fri 4-5pm) $9 for basic pizzas. No drink specials. Dine in only.

Great place, as someone said it is underrated! I guess because a bit pricey, but you pay what you get for, high quality, Pizza are wonderfully done, very fresh ingredients, you will love every bite of it.

Great latest find on trendy Valencia St. The pasta is fantastic, the food in general is very good and it was expected as their restaurant is also great. It's good to have the option of a more casual setting, decor is pretty awesome and location is perfect. Definitely going back there soon..

Disappointing and overpriced food, great service and new decor. We ordered 2 different pizzas, one was soggy and neither were crispy. The decor is modern and new, but it was not enough to justify the high price tag.

Dear Farina: I really wanted it to be a love at first sight between your pizza and I; one that I could have told all my friends about but... unfortunately it wasn't the case. I walked by your pizzas countless times and in every single instance said "I need to try this pizza, it looks so good" and finally I made a reservation. As you may know, I was born and raised in Italy so I have a soft spot for pizza so it was bound that I would come in one day... and it happened. It's true, your interiors are nice and stylish and the atmosphere is casual and at the same time hip:well it's 18th and Valencia after all. I didn't mind sharing the table with other folks, it gave me the chance to look at what people had ordered and make up my mind easily. We ordered a pizza with pesto and the bufalina which came fairly quickly and... my excitement soon became disappointment. I believe that the most critical tests that any pizza has to take are the "margherita" and the dough tests. That's how I do it: if the most simple pizza is delicious, then be sure that, if the owners use fresh ingredients, all the other pies will be as well. In the same way, if I can eat the dough alone without having to put any topping/olive oil then that dough is a home-run. The main differences I had with my experience, dear Farina, were the dough for flavor and consistency- maybe it was the flour (funny because farina means flour) or the amount of yeast- and the raw ingredients. For the bufalina I couldn't taste that, in fact, it was made of mozzarella di bufala... and the tomato sauce was a bit acidic- duh, it's tomato sauce, but still there are places were tomatoes are less acidic. The Farina pesto was fine, edible, but mostly because there were a lot of cheese and pesto.. now what can go wrong with pesto? It's like butter/cream... a quick fix to anything... hard to mess that up. To be fair, I have no doubt that this pizza had mozzarella di bufala BUT I couldn't really taste it... All in all, I have heard that sometimes the pizza tastes as good as it looks but... I am sorry Farina, I am not going to come back. Your former fan, F

The food was delicious, the service was friendly. We had: Arancini (we asked for a side of tomato sauce, it made them PERFECT) Wild Arugula Salad Contadina Pizza Panna Cotta Everything was wonderful, we'd order it all again!

Go for their $7 pizza happy hour or get the $9 pizza takeout (pesto is best).
