I needed a hotel room for one night in the city and ended up getting the Hyatt Regency for a ridiculous price on Hotwire. Check in was a breeze and the employee was super friendly. Our room had a great view of the river and the bed was very comfortable; I slept like a rock. The hotel will check you bag for free which was great because we wanted to walk around the city but didn't want to carry around a suitcase. I'd definitely stay here again.

Rooms are tired. Good is absolutely awful. No imagination and tasteless. Don't eat here! I had at least a nice view. My only positive.

Very large business hotel, with good facilities and services. Good for business, not so good for holidays has a dated feel and a bit impersonal. Good location

Clean, friendly staff, bed was comfortable, room temperature was fine. We had no trouble with checking in and out, charges were correct. Location is perfect for shopping and dining and site seeing. I recommend staying on an upper floor, because you can hear people in the hallway and in other rooms. It's pretty noisy! It is an expensive hotel, but about what you expect to pay in downtown Chicago.

I arrived here on Saturday, March 14th after leaving the Swissotel (it was horrible there). I was in town for a conference, and my group had a block. The staff informed me they were sold out, but after some looking around, they were able to find me a room. I wanted a hotel with a spa and a pool, but was happy without either. The Regency was more than comfortable and the staff was great. The concierge took care of my dinner reservations and made some great suggestions of things to do afterwards. I needed a phone charger and called down for one; considering how busy they were, I was surprised when it arrived in less than 5 minutes. The room was comfy and clean. Good view of the lake. Mini bar had a decent variety. Yes the drinks were expensive but that's expected from any hotel. Even the valet parking staff was great. Although I didn't use them except for when I arrived, they answered a few questions for me and pointed me in the right direction. Hyatt always exceeds my expectations. Will be staying here next time I'm in town. #goldpassportplatinum

Ridiculously on-point. Everything was clean. Food x 2 was great. Didn't wait for anything. Didn't need or want for anything. And even on a Valentine's Day weekend staying in the room by myself, I didn't wait for any request, including valet, wake-up calls or room service. Superb experience. High-quality food, room with a great view and peace-and-quiet, all very, very important. I choose this over the Fairmont. I'll be back in Chicago to visit from Manhattan again in June!

The rooms are very nice but so far the fridge has locked itself and the employees think it's an error with their computers or something. Everything is an up charge Don't even think you are getting free wifi! We just got double charged $126 for valet parking. They gave us a handicap room so there isn't a door that shuts on the bathroom and the TV is just static. It did have the best bed I have slept on So maybe 1.5 stars.

Meh..not worth the "great" reviews in my opinion. The bathtub was blocked with hair and we had to call them to come clean it. The bathroom was not supplied with enough towels, the bed wasn't the most comfortable either.. Oh and $59 for overnight parking isn't reasonable at all. Won't be coming back..
