I had high hopes for this place, because everyone locally seems to love it. We went to the location in Oswego, no idea if Liverpool is any different. The place seems like you are sitting in someone's basement. drab, dark, and closeted. The seating is incredibly uncomfortable if you are tall or wide. You have two options, a booth, or a table with weird captains chairs, that looked like they would fit children. Then on to the food, we ordered bruschetta "thinking that this can't be too bad" , wrong, it came on the wrong kind of bread, in fact they "toasted" cut corners of food service ciabatta rolls, and they were squishy, and stale, then topped with the most flavorless, mushy tomato mess, and covered with tepid cheese. Brushetta should not be served hot, nor should the cheese be a nasty melty mess. Then we had to wait around for our pizza, that was on a par baked crust, which for those of you not in the industry, is something that schools do, the crust is half way baked at some earlier time, then the sauce, and cheese are added. It tasted like beer, and made us sick. It was also a soupy mess, because they do not use pizza sauce, but use their thing marinara sauce. On to dinner, we both got chicken parm, which in itself wasn't too bad, but also tasted like it had been previously cooked then reheated, and really salty. Their sauce is nasty, salty, thin, acidic and no flavor at all. How can they be famous for that? We actually didn;t really touch our food, and brought it home for our dogs, because it was disgusting. The service was unbearably slow, and we were there for almost 2 hours, when we arrived before dinner rush even started, at around 4 pm. The server was okay, not really friendly, just kind of there. I would not be back, but guess I should have expected it to be bad, because every restaurant in Oswego is.

Very poor. Saturday night during Graduation weekend , out of veal..not acceptable for family style Italian restaurant. Ordered chicken scalloping instead. Served huge clipped tenders. Like rubber in a broth with no flavor. Just a spaghetti house.

Went in for a late dinner for my daughter's birthday. To make a long story short. The food came out and the food was cold. Not just warm cold to the point I thought they might have just left that plate of food out. The waitress ask if I wanted her to warm it up. I got kinda made and more frustrated that for the kinda of money people go to spend at these restaurants they wouldn't offer to remake it. No that want to warm it in a microwave. So I was paying for food that they had to warm up. I think me and my family just had our last meal there.

We stopped up to see my son at SUNY Oswego and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. The service was "ok" by the waitress, but the food was slow to come from the kitchen. People who arrived and were seated after us were getting their food while we were still waiting. Our orders of cavatelli and ravioli were good. The steak my son ordered was spoiled and ruined the evening of a relaxing meal and visit for us. This is definitely on our list of "never to visit again".

Response from the owner - 3 years ago
My apologies for the late response. We're just starting to get active on Google+ Local, and I wanted to be sure to address your review. Although I'm glad you enjoyed our pastas, I'm sorry the rest of your experience was disappointing. If guests who arrived after you received their meals quicker, it's possible there was some confusion in the kitchen. My apologies for that. As for your son's steak, I assure you we would never serve spoiled meat. Did you inform your server that you thought the steak was off? When a customer brings a problem to our attention, we always do whatever we can to make it right. -Nick Canale Jr., Owner

I've only picked up food from here. But their chicken parm is amazing. There is plenty of food for a decent price!! Do not go here if you expecting a good salad...it is all head lettuce with toppings thrown on top. And make sure u ask for dressing on the side otherwise the lettuce is soaked!! But I go here for chicken parm Italian meal not the salad.
