Great local LA Mexican bar / restaurant. Lovely food at a decent price. Get a margarita pitcher if you are in a group. Really friendly servers.

So some features of a good taco tuesday.... 1. cheap tacos 2. cheap liquor 3. comfortable atmosphere to enjoy tacos and liquor 4. music Features of Mission Cantina 1. cheap tacos ($1 pork, carne asada, chicken and veggie). I say go with the asada! Its marinated perfectly and its nice and thick. Not flimsy piece of steak but chunks you can sink your teeth in. Also don't be that foolish person who expects cheese. This is a place with STREET TACOS not your commercial ish. You don't need the extras if the fundamentals are good. Meaning great homemade tortilla and tasty meat, which they have. 2. Cheap liquor. HH ($3 of cocktails) is over at 8pm BUT they do have a great pitcher of Margaritas for $20. Its regular pitcher size and would be optimal for 2 people to share and acceptable for 3 people to share. 4 ppl sharing one pitcher is just a shame. Man up and get two pitchers. Its still cheaper than one glass which is regularly $7 (do your own math ppl). The drinks are strong and tasty. I was buzzing after 2 glasses so its well worth it. 3. COME EARLY! Its all I can suggest. Its SMALL so seating is scarce. It was windy so the outdoor patio was closed, forcing everyone into the bar area. The seating is pretty jammed so if your brining a big group of people don't come late. You will have to awkwardly wait for ppl to get up and leave. Optimal dining time is 7ish and then you can splurge on the HH and get your tacos in and be to bed by 10. Don't expect to come in and not wait tho. You have to seat yourself so its everyone for themselves. 4. The music after 8 is turnt the eff up for no reason. It was a study that showed ppl eat/drink more when dining in places that are loud. Which makes since because your totally not focused. You will be screaming over the table at your friends. So don't expect a quiet meal. Overall I like this place. Great food cheap drinks. The service was lacking. Our server charged more on my card than she should of -_-. But the atmosphere outweigh the service. Come to enjoy your friends and food.

Loved this place. Went here for dinner and wow was it good. The bartender was super nice and gave good recommendation for food and drinks. The chicken tacos and the nachos were amazing. Also you can big pitcher of margarita for $20 which gave us about 6 glasses.

First timer...The bartenders both were rude and complained about people not tipping them many times. Never told us about the specials or happy hour and we were there during hh. You should always inform your guest about specials. They seemed judgemental. I like the atmosphere. Petty bar. They used high end liquor but still pricey. Me and my friends plan to go back again for actual happy hour deals and see if the service is better. Hopefully its better.

Been coming here for over a year because the quality of the food can't be beaten. Freshest and best tasting platters ever, although tbh their tacos may be their weakest dish. The mole poblano with corn bread is amazing, so are the nachos

This place knows how to make a killer michelada. It's not on the menu, but they make a really good one. Try the tacos as well. I had the rib and it was fantastic.

I've been a regular at this place whenever I've worked at Sunset/Gower studios. A lot of good lunches/dinners have been had there or picked up and taken back to the office. Today I went and picked up and I had 9 chips to go with my burrito. That's happened before and when I've asked for more chips I've received them no problem. Today I was told I would have to pay for more chips. This is one of those restaurants where you can have bottomless chips when you dine in. Well, that's the last time I'll be going there. I know it seems minor but the pettiness is what really bothered me. There's better Mexican that doesn't get cheap with their chips.
