I'm making this public, because I think everyone should be aware.
Today, I was handed two incorrect prescriptions by my doctor's nurse - one had the # of tablets as "0", the other also had the wrong number of pills.
I also discovered, as I was refilling my pill case, that when I got my muscle relaxers refilled a couple weeks ago, the pharmacy made a mistake. The Rx was for 250mg, the bottle said 250mg, but there were 350mg tablets in the bottle. I know this because I had an old bottle of 350mg to compare, and a couple 250mg left.
This isn't a big deal for me - I asked for the lower dosage because it was easier to swallow - but it could have been a deadly mistake for someone else.
CHECK YOUR SCRIPS. CHECK YOUR MEDS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PHARMACY FOR DOSAGE, NUMBER OF PILLS, AND THAT THE PILL INSIDE THE BOTTLE MATCHES THE DESCRIPTION ON THE OUTSIDE.
