The re-launch of the University of Southern Indiana’s College of Liberal Arts Interdisciplinary Colloquium invites a board appraisal of the multifaceted dimensions of the door metaphor. As the poet Marge Piercy observed, “Maybe there is more of the magical/in the idea of a door than in a door/itself.” The day-long, multi-session event will take place Friday, October 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Carter Hall in University Center West. This event is free and open to the public.

This fall, the University of Southern Indiana saw both an increase in overall enrollment as well as a sizable increase in students entering graduate programs. Overall enrollment saw a slight increase, up 28 students from this time in fall 2015. However, graduate enrollment is at an all-time high at 1,068, up by more 180 students—a 20 percent increase—with a large portion of that increase attributed to the Romain College of Business’ new online MBA program.
