This "Sprint" Store is actually owned by Elite Wireless Group Inc. It is NOT owned and operated by Sprint the company, it is not an authorized Sprint retail store. I received a coupon in the mail last month telling me I had been a loyal customer of Sprint's for so long that I was able to upgrade 2 of my phones at no charge. I went into this store thinking is was a Sprint Store and ordered my two phones. I thought while I was at it, I could see about lowering my plan. I pay a lot for 3 lines and I wanted to see about reducing the cost. The first representative I spoke with seemed nice enough, however there was an incredible about of misinformation given to me. I received my bill yesterday and realized I had been lied to, deceived and not given all the information regarding my new phones and my new plan. I specifically told Ali that I did NOT want to pay for a phone on monthly installments, that I wanted the phone upgrade for free like the coupon said. He said ok and we proceeded to get that going. Come to find out today he was not authorized to give me that deal and now I am stuck paying monthly payments on a phone that is already obsolete. On top of that he did not mention that there would be an upgrade fee of $36 dollars for each phone. I also have a phone that I pay for my Mother, she has an old flip phone with large numbers so she can see it. She is 80 years old and has no need for a smart phone. They put that line on a whole different account and charged me $46 and some change.
When I received my bill in the mail last night, it was $311.28. I was completely shocked and outraged. There were all these fees that were not disclosed to me. I realize I should have read the 15 million sheets of papers that got printed out but I trusted this guy. I am usually a very good judge of character but apparently not this time. So, because today was the 15th day - not the 14th day they would not take back the phone. They could have buy chose NOT to. I spoke to the Sprint Corporate office and they said that they have the choice to take it back but they refused. The "manager" Edward that I spoke to today was aggressive, hostile and threatening. I felt so afraid that I had to call the police. He is a very large guy and loomed over me. I was really upset. I felt lied to, cheated and taken advantage of.
My hope by writing this review is that people are able to make an informed decision when it comes to their phone plans. I want everyone to realize that this store is not a Sprint store even though it may look like one for all intense of purposes it is just like going to Best Buy. I think I would have been better off going to Best Buy to tell you the truth. I know that I wouldn't have been bullied and treated so disrespectfully. Please don't patronize this store and tell your friends about this experience. I hope to save people's money and safety by writing this review.
