The Global Technology Awards are held annually and rotate every second year between
Productronica, Germany and SMTAi, USA. The awards ceremony will be held at SMTAi in Chicago, IL on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016.
The Global Technology Awards have recognizes the very best new innovations in the printed
circuit assembly and packaging industries since 2005. The Global Technology Awards have
been bringing together the SMT and advanced packaging industry in a celebration of the
companies and people that are achieving the highest standards and driving our industry forward.
The awards are designed to promote best practice in key areas including manufacturing quality,
customer service, sales growth, innovation and employee motivation.
Companies can enter as many categories as they wish. The closing date for entries is July 10, 2016. Register online! Winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony held on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 at SMTAi 2014 in Chicago. The Global Technology Awards are sponsored and organized by
Global SMT & Packaging magazine.
Entries are invited from equipment, materials and EMS companies of all sizes. The judging
process will be handled through independent judges. The balloting process, including vote
compilations, are handled strictly in accordance with the ‘Award Rules’. Points are awarded to
each entry in relation to the criteria listed for each category. Entering your product or service in
any of more than 30 categories is easy and can be done Online.
Act soon—the deadline for entries is July 10, 2016.
In addition to the award statue, winners receive publicity in a special awards issue of each of
Global SMT & Packaging magazine’s three editions (International, China & Southeast Asia) as
well as on the Global SMT & Packaging and Global Technology Award websites and in the Global
SMT & Packaging email newsletters. Winners also receive a small poster for use at trade shows
and an image and logo for use in advertising, websites and other promotional materials.
Entering corporate awards and contests as a marketing strategy is an untapped area for
