Google Apps For Education and personal Google accounts?

We've been piloting Google Apps for Education (60 users) since mid December and will be transitioning out of our current email, calendar, etc. system and into Google Apps for Education this Summer. My only issue right now is those staff members that have a Google personal account that they created using their school district email address. The process is a little confusing for our current pilot users in this situation. Is there a more elegant solution to fixing this issue, and is there an FAQ for those that fall into this category of user, i.e. If I create a new personal account, will email sent to my old personal address be forwarded automatically to my new personal Google account? etc. etc.
