Working from Tokyo this week and staying through Sunday. What's good to eat / drink? Anything I absolutely must do?

My mother, father, and grandmother seemed to make an impact on their recent trip to Iowa.

Finally put together a video from my dive at Point Lobos in November. Tons of life, great visibility, and a beautiful shot of a Leopard Shark.

Someone's been studying their fish. Must have been hard not to eat a couple of those.

Who else read "Water vapor from the pilot’s breath and sweat condenses on the cold metal sphere and drains to a space where it’s sucked into a plastic bag. In an emergency, the pilot can drink it." and immediately thought about stillsuits on Dune?

I just read Dune the other day and reading that immediately made me think of the suits.

Checking in for an Alaska Airlines flight (out of Seattle) I noticed the following items are exempt from baggage charges.

- carseats and/or strollers
- assistive devices (e.g. wheelchair)
- one box of wine when departing Santa Rosa, CA
- or if you are traveling on U.S. Military orders.

"one box of wine when departing Santa Rosa, CA" seems very useful, but it's strangely specific.

I went to South City Lumber to pick up some "flavor savers" for my gas grill. The person who helped me knew what he was talking about and even though I hadn't been able to find the model number for my grill, we were able to find the exact bars that I needed. I've stopped by a bunch of other times when I've needed various other hardware items and always been able to get help finding what I needed.
